AWANA
(Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed) is CCC's largest children's ministry. September through April over 100 children (many from the community) come from 6 to 8 pm for singing, devotion, scripture memorization, and game time. Kindergarten through 12th grade are divided into groups called Sparks, Truth & Training, Jr. Varsity, and 24-7.
Campus Life
This ministry is led by CCC member, Travis Kauffman, and open to all middle school and high school students in Alexandria. Middle School students meet at the middle school every Monday nights at 6 pm during the school year. Alexandria High School students meet at the Community Center at 8:17 pm.
Choir
meets in October until December, focusing on the Christmas musical (Dec. 18th 2005). Directed by Pastor Jerry Young, the choir meets after church as well as sharing a light lunch together.
Church Street Commons
A community based not-for-profit mission focused on the youth of Alexandria supported by C.C.C. Several members of the congregation are on the board of directors for Church Street Commons. The main program is the Tutor/Mentor Program in the Alexandria elementary and middle schools. The Alexandria Emergency Relief Fund
Give general assistance to the Pastor and help with calling on ill, hospitalized, shut-ins, and help during the time of Communion and Offering. Deaconesses assist with the meal ministry, flower ministry and also assist the pastor with visitations. ERF
or renamed "In As Much," is a food pantry and aid organization located in the basement of the Lutheran Church. C.C.C. supports ERF and their ministry to this community.
Heaven's 'Wear'house
A new community ministry began by Pastor Dave Kyle in the old Community Church (before that the Baptist church) across the street from the Post Office. Heaven's Wearhouse will provide clothes on a need-based system to community members.
Jr. Church
During the Sunday morning service usually around the prayer or praise and worship time. Jr. Church teachers rotate and all give small lessons. During the holidays, this Jr. Church time is utilized as the practice for the Children's musical (Dec. 11th)
Ladies Aid
A wonderful group of ladies who organize many of the special meals and are in charge of the noodle-making for the noodle-tent at the 4-H Fair. Contact Vanessa Hosier for more information on the Ladies Aid.
Missions
The past two years, all the monies raised at the 4-H Fair CCC Noodle-Tent went toward five local ministries: ERF, YFC, AWANA, Church Street Commons, and Beauty for Ashes. Contact Misty Hawkins for more information on our Missions goals.
Nursery
is provided every Sunday morning during the morning service (10:30). For more information on the helpers in the nursery, contact Carrie Hoffman or Amanda Hosier.
Prayer and Praise
A time Wednesday evenings from 6-7 pm to gather in the sanctuary and pray for one another and lift concerns and praises to God. Everyone is welcome.
Sunday School
Is available for all ages from 9:00-10:00 am. Most classes meet in the new Family Life Center.
Sunday morning service
Begins at 10:00 am in the sanctuary. Join us for both traditional worship as well as contemporary in one morning service.
Worship Team
Comprised of several talented musicians who are coordinated by Carrie Young. See Carrie if you are interested in doing any special music or being a part of the worship team.
Youth Ministry
Exists to take the life-changing message of God's salvation through Jesus Christ clear to every middle school and high school student. There are several opportunities for youth to grown and learn, including Sunday night, "Open House," Monday night, AWANA, and Wednesday night Prayer Time.
